Really simple with ranger secondary. Load up on nature rituals which he will cast first. At 5 seconds each to activate you should have all the time in the world to destroy him, even if you take nothing but a bow and apply poison. Just make sure those nature rituals will neither help him nor harm you. Do NOT take troll ungent or any heals.

I hate to disagree, but about 9 days ago (Is it Wednesday?) I loaded Backfire, Awake the Blood, and as many useless sac spells as I could find. We cast backfire on each other the second the fight started, and I started wanding him. He cast Awaken, took 117 dmg. He cast something that made me heal less, lost 117, and 19.x% of his max life. I'm not sure if his fourth spell cast killed him before my wand did.

It still works. Obviously he isn't going to act the same way every time. But it still worked for me.

I was level 16.
